no mice were hurt in the making of this linocut!
This is a handprinted linocut, I cut the linoleum with sharp knives, it is a bit like sculpting the plate, and direction of cut, thickness of the cut etc all play a vital role in how the image will look when printed. I then roll up the lino plate with black ink and print it onto a crisp light cream heavy weight piece of printmaking paper.
Once dry I sign, title and number the print, "My cup of Tea" is printed in a limited edition of only 35 prints.

The piece of paper measures 24" x 18" (62 cm x 46cm )
and the actual printed image measures 22" x 12" (56 cm x 30 cm )
When buying prints, a good tip is to cut a piece of paper to this size, that gives you a much better idea of the size than anything else.
